I understand that mandarins are tricky to feed and that they require a steady population of live copepods, so would it be possible keep a mandarin in a 48L nano tank?

I think a 48 litre tank is too small to maintain a population of
copepods big enough to keep its stomach happy. Best plan would be to set
up a separate tank to breed copepods in and feed the main tank from
there.
